Eve, one of the newest baristas to join Roots this year has won the Barista’s Choice for June with her Citrus Almond Cold Brew.
The main challenge for this month’s competition, was that the baristas were tasked to create a drink that will encourage the customers to consume the drink without needing to use a straw. Eve saw this as an opportunity to develop her almond milk recipe to use as one of the main ingredients of her cold brew. She also uses fresh orange peel and orange syrup to create a beautiful aroma and fruitiness to which she tops off with almond milk foam. If you drink it straight from the cup, the foam will draw a thin white line on your upper lip!
