The winner of Barista’s Choice for July is our barista Jade with his creation: the Bloomberry Cold Brew. For this menu, Jade was inspired by his very first taste of espresso which left such an impression on him. He recalls it being full of flavor with a complex tasting note, one which encouraged him to dive deeper into the coffee world to discover more coffee like it.
To make the Bloomberry cold brew, Jade takes the black cold brew and combines with with raspberry to create a bright and refreshing drink. He also adds in rose, lavender and camomile teas to create a beautiful aroma and complexity. To round up the drink with a little sweetness, wild honey from Chang Pao’s farm in Le Ta Glo village, Tak province is also added. For the topping, Jade serves a raspberry jelly for that extra delicious chewiness you can enjoy.
